Leather, a material that develops a patina
Leather is at the heart of every LAMIRAL creation. We choose it for its feel, its grain, its structure, and above all, for the way it will evolve over time.
For our grained leathers, we have selected a taurillon whose grain reveals the natural character of the hide. Supple and generous to the touch, it also offers excellent resistance to daily use. Over time, its surface subtly evolves, softening and acquiring a patina unique to each piece.
Alongside it, smooth calfskin offers a different expression of the material. More refined, and also more sensitive, it reveals the marks of use more readily. A slight variation in tone, a mark, a softening: these are all signs that appear gradually and make each object unique.
We also work with magnificent nubuck taurillon, selected for its velvety feel and the exceptional depth of its colors. Its soft, matte surface catches the light differently and gives the pieces a warmer, almost sensual presence.
Three very different expressions of the same material, which we choose with the same high standards: the quality of the hide, the richness of the touch, and its ability to grow more beautiful over time.
Color is also part of this pursuit. Our collection offers a wide palette of grained leathers, from the most natural tones to deeper shades, as well as a selection of smooth leathers. Each combination can then be complemented by the choice of linings, finishes, and, depending on the piece, personalized branding.
We do not seek for a leather to remain exactly as it was on the first day. We choose materials capable of aging well, transforming, and telling the story of their use.
This is also what we love about leather: a material that accompanies its owner and whose beauty is revealed over time.
